Erie Community College men's and women's swimming and diving coach Phil Schneider announced the National Letter of Intent (NLI) signing of Casey Rosenski, April 10 at ECC's City Campus.
Rosenski will compete at both 1-meter and 3-meter diving for the Kats next season. The Lakeshore High School product had a successful senior run with impressive results at Sectionals, ECIC's and Class championships with his best finish at the latter event garnering first-place accolades.
"Casey is an excellent addition to our diving program. He will instantly upgrade our men's diving team and will not only compete at a high level with other local junior colleges, but also on a national level as well," Schneider said.
Rosenski is one of almost two dozen combined men's and women's recruits for next season, although Schneider might be depending on the Eagles diver a bit more than some of his other recruits on the way to winning a regional and potential national championship next season.
Rosenski might best be described as a late bloomer after only really beginning his diving career in high school after memberships with various swimming clubs that include the Buffalo Blizzards. In Rosenski's first years of diving in high school, he may have benefited immensely while working with former Eagles teammate and fellow diver Travis Wright - the 2016 Division I Canisius College Male Athlete of the Year and two-time MAAC Male Diver of the Year (2016 & 2017).
In addition to the success Rosenski achieved this past season for the Eagles, he also brings a vast repertoire of dives to the delight of the coaching staff. The Angola native plans to pursue a degree in advanced sciences at ECC.
