The Erie Community College softball team placed five members on the 2017 Western New York Athletic Conference All-Conference teams.
The Kats had four position players and one pitcher receive honors after the team fell in the region playoffs to Genesee Community College, who advanced and finished as the Region III-A runner-up as tournament host in mid-May.
Leading the way for the Kats on the WNYAC All-Conference First Team was Gianna Zarcone as a position player.
Second team selections included Nicole Woodward, Chelsea Davis, Haillie James and Julia Swanson. The latter three were also selected as position players, while Woodward was selected as a pitching selection. The Kats had the most selections – four – of any team of the all-conference second team.
