The Erie Community College Athletic Department finished ninth in the final standings of the 2017-18 NATYCAA Cup NJCAA Non-Scholarship Division. Rankings in the NATYCAA Cup are formulated by awarding NJCAA institutions with points based on competition at NJCAA Championship events.
Erie Community College had six teams compete at the NJCAA championships this past year. The men’s bowling team finished fourth at the national championships hosted by Erie. The women’s soccer team won its second consecutive Region 3 championship before finishing fifth at nationals. The men’s basketball team was seeded 13th at the NJCAA Division 2 Tournament before finishing sixth in the country. The men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each finished ninth and the women’s bowling team took 12th.
Erie’s tradition rich athletic history includes 55 NJCAA National Team Championships, which is the third most of all two-year college athletic programs in the country.
