Former Kat Selected by Houston Astros In MLB Entry Draft

Shawn Dubin, a pitcher for the Kats in 2015, was selected by the World Series Champion Houston Astros in the 13th round on Wednesday. Dubin posted a 6-2 record for the Kats with a 3.95 ERA and led the Kats with 61 strike outs that season, his first full season as a pitcher.

Dubin continued his playing career at the University at Buffalo for two seasons before playing his senior season at Georgetown College in Kentucky. Dubin earned First Team NAIA All American honors for his play at Georgetown College.
