Football Falls To Monroe College in Season Finale, 40-14

NEW YORK -- The Kats traveled to New York City to take on the Monroe College Mustangs and fell, 40-14. The loss will end the Kats season with a 4-5 record.

The first quarter was back and fourth as the Kats found the endzone first when Michael Johnson would break through the Mustangs defense for a 60 yard touchdown run 1:38 into the game.

The Mustangs would answer to tie the game at seven. The Kats defense would get on the board when Dante Monte would return a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown to tie go up 14-7.

The Mustangs would run away with the game, scoring 33 unanswered points to win 40-14. 

Tyler Zelinski would go 14-28 for 98 yards and an interception at quarterback while Michael Johnson lead the Kats in rushing with 57 yards. 

The Kats defense would force three fumbles and recover two of them in the effort.
