Men's Basketball Falls In Home Opener to Genesee Community College, 81-70

Buffalo, NY -- Men's basketball fell to the Genesee Community College Cougars on Wednesday, 81-70. The Kats fell behind early in the game but managed to pull the game within reach by half time, only trailing 36-31.

The Kats were able to stay within reach due to good rebound from the Kats, winning the rebound battle 49-42, including 19-15 in the first half. 

The Cougars began to pull away in the second half, leading to an 11 point victory for the Cougars. The Kats struggled to hold on to the ball, turning it over 17 times in the game. 

The Kats were lead in scoring by Winston Beato Jr. who had 17 points while Shakur Harris added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to the Kats effort.

The Kats are back in action on Friday when they host Cuyahoga Community College at Burt Flickinger Center. Tip off is at 7:30PM.
