Erie Men’s Bowling Earns NJCAA Academic Recognitio

The Erie Community College men’s bowling team has been named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for its success in the classroom during the 2017-18 school year. The award is given each year to the team with the highest grade point average in the country in its sport for that year.

Under the direction of 16-year head coach Roy Decibus, the team posted a 3.09 GPA in 2017-18. In competition, the Kats finished second at the Region 3 Championships and fourth in the nation at the NJCAA Championship Tournament.

The team members were: Andrew Burckhalter, Dominic Germano, Matthew Kasperek, Joshua Large, Alex Leader, Joseph Peters, Alexander Weinreich and Jared Wojcinski.
