Hockey Goes 1-1 to Open the Season

The Erie Community College Men's Hockey team opened their season this weekend with one win and one loss.  

The Kats could not muster much offense in their opener on Friday night when they played Canisius College ACHA 1 at Nichols Arena. Brett Sardina scored both Erie goals in an 11-2 loss.

The offense rebounded on Saturday afternoon when they hosted St. John Fisher College at Cheektowage Town Rink for their home opener.  Leading the way in the 8-7 victory was Tim Bogdan who had three goals and an assist. Sardina scored a goal and assisted on the game winner. Other goal scorers included Shawn Kross who also had four assists on they day, Kyle O'Brien, Colin Regian and Matt Songin. 

The Kats take the ice again when they host Penn State Behrend on Saturday, October 26th at 3:00 pm.
