Swimmers Perform Well At Jamestown Invitational

Jamestown, NY -- The Erie Community College swimming and diving teams won three of four relays and both diving events at the Jamestown Invitational Saturday. 

"We swam pretty well today," said second year head coach Phil Schneider. "We used this meet for our kids to get national qualification times in some of their off events." 

Erie opened the meet winning both of the 200-yard medley relay events. The women's team of Alexis Slimak, Allie DeBiaseAbbie Ettinger and Tabby Smith touched first in 2:05.82. The men's team of Charlie May, Austin Macey, Brad Zifra and Jonathan Pilat won in 1:50.72. 

Individually, Smith won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.80. Allie DeBiase touched first in the 200-Yard Freestyle in 2:16.14. Pilat was a double winner, taking first in the 50-yard freestyle (23.52) and the 100-yard backstroke (58.61). 

On the one-meter board, Haley Roblee posted a season-high six-dive score of 209.70 to take first place. Casey Rosinski was the only male diver but posted a season-best score of 198.15. 

The Kats closed the meet by winning the women's 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 4:10.87. 

The Kats are back in action on Wednesday Novemeber 8th when Jamestown visits Burt Flickinger Center at 6PM.
