Buffalo, NY -- The Erie Community College men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams combined to win 22 of 24 events to defeat Western New York Athletic Conference rival Jamestown Community College Wednesday evening at the Flickinger Center.
Some of the Erie highlights included wins in the women’s and men’s 50-yard freestyle by Tabytha Smith (25.92) and Jonathan Pilat (23.56), respectively. The duo also won the 100-yard freestyle. Smith touched in 58.45 and Pilat finished in 51.94. Allie DeBiase won the women’s 100-yard breaststroke in 1:13.98 and Brad Zifra took the same event on the men’s side in 1:07.11.
Erie divers Haley Roblee and Casey Rosinski earned NJCAA national qualifying scores on the 3-meter board. Roblee posted a six-dive score of 171.23 and Rosinski finished with 177.68 points.
The Kats are back in the pool on Saturday, November 18th for the Herkimer Invitational.
