Buffalo, NY -- Jonathon Pilat broke four school records at the NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championship this weekend.
Pilat, a sophomore from Cheektowaga, would set records in the 50 and 100 backstroke and 50 and 100 freestyle.
In the freestyle, Pilat would set the record in the 50 with a time of 21.38 with his leg of the 200 freestyle relay. A 48.11 would be enough in the 100 yard freestyle to set a new record at Erie.
The backstroke saw similar successs for Pilat as he swam a 25.55 in the 50 backstroke and a 54.85 in the 100 backstroke, setting new SUNY Erie records in both events.
"Our season is long, about six months to be exact. All the 6AM practices, two a day practices, are all worth it when you see that time or score." said head coach Phil Schneider.
