Cross Country Returns at Erie

After a nine year absence, the Erie Community College cross country team returned to competition when it participated in the Harry F. Anderson Invitational hosted by Roberts Wesleyan College.

Although just a month old, Erie had two competitors run in the 8,000-meter men’s race. In a total field of 183 runners, there were 20 runners from NJCAA member colleges.

Erie’s Zach McPherson finished 106th overall and fourth among two-year college runners with a time of 31:43.6. Johnathan Dziewa’s time of 39:31.6 was 163rd overall and 14th among NJCAA competitors.

The runners will be back in action at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday September 30th at Letchworth State Park.
