Softball Takes Three of Four Games Over Weekend

The Kats would pick up three wins over the weekend as they swept Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday in a doubleheader and spliting a doubleheader on Sunday with Broome Community College.

On Saturday, the Kats defeated Finger Lakes Community College 9-1 and 16-0. In game one, Carli Bogue, Bayley Bannister and Shelby Simmeth would have two RBI each. Bogue would also pick up the win as pitcher, striking out five batters. The Kats offense exploded in game two as Bogue and Morgan Ryerse picked up four RBI each while Bannister added three. Brittany McAndrews would strike out seven batters as she picked up the win.

On Sunday, the Kats would roll again as they took game one over Broome, 8-2. Simmeth would lead with 2 RBI while Bogue would pick up her second win of the weekend. Game two as a different story as Broome picked up the win in a tight contest, 5-4. Simmeth and Olivia Domiano would each score two RBI for the Kats but it wasn't enough. McAndrews would strike out six batters in the loss.

The Kats are back in action Tuesday when they travel to Corning Community College for a doubleheader at 3PM.
