Women's Soccer Bests Broome, 4-0

Binghamton, NY -- The ECC Women's Soccer team traveled to Broome this afternoon for a rematch of last year's National Championship game, avenging last season's loss with a 4-0 victory.

The scoring would open when Sam Carey would finish off a combination from Rachel Fiore midway through the first half. Shortly after, the Kats were awarded a penalty kick when a Broome defender handled the ball inside the box. Fiore would convert the kick to make the score 2-0, and that's how the half would end.

The Broome defense would prove tough to break down for much of the second half, as the game went back and forth with both teams creating opportunities at goal.

Hannah Parucki would lift a shot over the Broome goalkeeper to make the score 3-0 late in the half on a through ball from Carey. Parucki would then return the favor, assisting Carey on a cross to finish off the scoring at 4-0.

The Lady Kats are back in action at home on Wednesday 10/11 at 2pm, playing home to Jamestown Community College.
