Women's Soccer Takes Fifth at NJCAA National Championship

Dryden, NY -- The Kats took fifth place at the NJCAA National Championship Tournament with a win over the Nassau Lions, 2-1, on Sunday. 

The Kats would trail 1-0 at the half, until Hannah Parucki would break through the Lions defense off a pass from Annaliese Ziemann to tie the game at 1 in the 50th minute.

Rachel Fiore would put the Kats ahead when she would score on a penalty kick in the 71st minute, clinching a fifth place for the Kats. 

Goalkeeper Autumn Farino would add 7 saves to the effort for the Kats.

Midfielder Sam Carey would be named to the All Tournament team for her performance at the National Championship. 

The win ends the Kats season, finishing with a record of 17-3-1, a Region III District B Championship and a fifth place finish in the NJCAA National Championship.
