Women's Soccer Improves to 14-0 With 11-0 Over Cayuga Community College

Auburn, NY -- The Kats offense flourished again as women's soccer picked up their 14th win of the season in an 11-0 victory over Cayuga Community College on Sunday at Holland Stadium.

The Kats offense started hot with 5 first half goals from Ciera Lundy (2), Megan Brodziak, Nicole Torres and Rachel Fiore. The Kats peppered the Cayuga goalkeeper with shots in the first half, taking 24 shots through the first 45 minutes of play.

“The last few performances the girls have really put into effect the things we’ve worked on in training. I’m not only proud but impressed as their coach. We’ve just got to continue to build and build as we move forward.” said Coach Boughton after the big win.

The Kats continued to build forward in this game as the second half was just as good as the first as the Kats registered 6 goals on 23 shots. Goals came from Jena Schelble, Jill Spangler, Ciera Lundy would score her third of the game, Hannah Parucki, Madison Jones and Rachel Kostelny.

“It was a total team game today. Our ball movement and unselfishness was incredible and I couldn’t be happier with the way our girls played this afternoon.”

The Kats will look to end their regular season on a high note on Thursday October 18th when they travel to Finger Lakes Community College for a 6PM kickoff.
