Women's Soccer's High Powered Offense Leads The Way Against Mercyhurst North East, 12-0

Orchard Park, NY -- “It was the epitome of a total team effort tonight - as shown in the box score. Contributions from everyone, and that includes those that did a great job in their defensive responsibilities.” said coach Gary Boughton as the Kats scored a 12-0 win against Mercyhurst North East at South Campus on Thursday to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Nine Kats would score goals as Annabelle MacIntosh and Makena Carpenter netted two while Rachel Fiore, Myah Gargano, Emily LeBlanc, Jena Schelble, Britini Bailey, Annaelise Ziemann, and Alyssa Siracuse would round out the scoring. Madison Jones and Jill Spangler would add three assists each in the Kats win.

The Kats defense stood tall, holding off the Mercyhurst North East attack for a clean sheet with Amber Grabp in goal.

“It’s about us maintaining our standard each and every day throughout the season. These girls push each other in such a positive way it’s humbling to be witness to. We’ve just got to keep demanding it of ourselves." said Coach Boughton after the win.

The Kats will look to continue their winning streak on the road as they travel to Jefferson Community College on Saturday at 2PM.
