No. 1 Women's Soccer Improves to 13-0 with 3-0 Win Over St John Fisher JV

Rochester, NY -- The Kats continued an impressive season with a 3-0 win over St John Fisher JV on Tuesday night to improve to 13-0.

St John Fisher would present a tough test for the Kats as their defensive minded play would slow down a prolific offense.

The Kats would find the net for the first time when Makena Carpenter would score in the 18th minute on a pass from Jena Schelble

The Kats would strike again in the 29th minute with a Britini Bailey goal and another assist for Jena Schelble, who leads the nation in assists, to send the Kats into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

"Tonight provided a good test for us today against a mature and very defensively organized side. We played some very good soccer tonight in terms of possession, patience, and carried a positive attitude throughout." said Coach Gary Boughton.

The patience and possesion would pay off as the Kats would find a third goal from the foot of Jena Schelble with an assist from Jill Spangler in the 53rd minute to round out a 3-0 win.

"The things we've trained are showing through in our recent matches, and as a staff we couldn't be happier. Hopefully the consistency and work rate continues moving forward."

The Kats will look to continue their success on Sunday when they travel to Cayuga Community College for a 1PM kickoff.
