Women's Soccer Extends Winning Streak To Seven With Win Over TC3

Orchard Park, NY -- A 5-0 win over Tompkins Cortland Community College at SUNY Erie South on Saturday put the Kats at 7-0, the best start in program history.

The Kats offense was spread out, with five Kats scoring a goal a piece. Jena Schelble, Ciera Lundy, Myah Gargano, Jill Spangler and Makena Carpenter would score for the Kats on Saturday. Spangler and Schelble would also add assists with Meghan Brodziak and Annabelle MacIntosh rounding out the scoresheet.

"I thought we played well. It was a matchup against a tough defensive team that did some things we haven’t seen thus far, and our persistence paid off" said Coach Gary Boughton.

The Kats offense was able to break through a tough defense while applying a tough defense of their own.

“The thing I can never question with the ladies is that they show a desire to win every time we take the field. When we get frustrated, it’s out of an urge for success. I’m glad we dealt with some of that today to show when we stick together & work hard, we have those successes." said Boughton

The Kats backs held the Panthers shot-less in their cleansheet win, Gabi Gray was the keeper.

The Kats are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to Niagara County Community College at 3PM.
