Women's Swimming And Diving Takes Home Top Non-Scholarship Spot at Nationals

Buffalo, NY -- Playing host to the NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, the women's swimming and diving team took home the top spot for non-scholarship programs in a tie with Monroe Community College.

Haley Roblee was the stand out performance of the week for the Kats as she took home third place honors in both the 1 meter and 3 meter dives. Roblee broke the school record for the 3 meter, a record she set herself earlier this season. Roblee would score a 357.60 on the 1 meter board and a 367.90 on the 3 meter.

"We had a phenomeal meet. We swam and dove lights out" said head coach Phil Schneider.

Abbie Ettinger would set two school records with a 1:07.86 in the 100 Yard IM and her 30.88 in the 50 Yard Backstroke in the 200 Medley Relay.

"Our season is long, about six months to be exact. All the 6AM practices, two a day practices, are all worth it when you see that time or score and this year we won a division three national title on the women's side"

"It's pretty remarkable considering it's our first time doing it at Erie. I couldn't be more proud of this team"
