The Kats traveled to Utica today and came home with a 28-21 win over the Utica JV program. The Kats total team effort lead to a close victory on the road. The Kats kicked off the scoring in the first quarter when Tyler Zelinski found DeWayne Lykes for a 44 yard touchdown pass.

Zelinski would add another touchdown pass in the second quarter, this time to RJ Debo to take the Kats into the half with a 14-7 lead. 

In the second half, Utica would find the endzone early in the fourth quarter after a scoreless third and tie the game at 14. Minutes later, Alex Douglas would find Tyler Ringwood deep and connect for a 64 yard touchdown pass. The Pioneers would answer minutes later to tie the game with 4:02 left to play.

The Kats would then lead a drive to the endzone which ended in Laquan White finding the endzone from 14 yards out on a screen pass from Alex Douglas. White would run the full width of the field to give the Kats a 28-21 lead.

The defense held off the Utica offense to give the Kats the victory. Nick Pilon led the Kats in tackles with 9 (5 solo). D'Andre Jenkins and Mark Lanier would add sacks to the defensive efforts.
