Buffalo, NY -- With the second seed in the Region III Tournament already clinched, the Kats would host the Niagara County Community College Thunderwolves at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center on Wednesday night, falling short to the Thunderwolves in a nail-biter, 87-83.

After a back and forth first half, the Kats would trail the Thunderwolves 44-42. The second half would be the same as the first with ties (9) and lead changes (7) galore throughout the game.

The Kats would take the lead around the seven minute mark of the second half, before giving the lead back to the THunderwolves minutes later. Down the home stretch, the Kats would attempt a comeback but would fall short in the waning seconds of the game as the Thunderwolves held on to their lead.

The Kats would be lead by Kyle Harris with 29 points and Michael Motley with 14 points.

The Kats return to action next week in the Region III Tournament at Monroe Community College on Saturday, facing the winner of Genesee and Mercyhurst North East.
