Roblee Ready to Dive into Kats’ Swimming Program
1st place ECIC diver to join Kats
Haylee Roblee joined Erie Community College's women's swimming and diving team this week as head coach Phil Schneider fills in the missing pieces to compete for regional and national titles.
Roblee comes from Pioneer High School as a record-breaking diver with five years of diving experience as a Panther. In addition to surpassing an 18-year-old diving record, she improved her position in the Erie County Interscholastic Conference Championships from fifth place as a junior to first place this past season.
"Haylee comes fresh out of high school where her success will transfer to the collegiate level," Schneider said.
"She will have an immediate impact and success on the boards. The future is bright for her! Haylee and other diving recruits will help fill the void of graduates Jessica Raymond and Kristin Klein."
Raymond had the highest finish of any Kat at this year's NJCAA Nationals as a transfer from Division I St. Bonaventure University.
Roblee began earning qualifying scores for ECICs and Sectionals as a high school freshman and in addition to her first place ECIC finish, she also earned a fifth-place and 12th-place finishes at the Class and Section levels, respectively, her senior year. Roblee plans to pursue a degree in business.
