SUNY Erie Bowling Renews Sponsorship with Brunswick
The SUNY Erie Community College men’s and women’s bowling teams are excited to announce the renewal of their sponsorship with Brunswick Bowling Products, extending a partnership that has already proven to be a valuable asset to the program.
Under the renewed agreement, the Kats will continue to receive new equipment each season — including bowling balls and tote bags — as well as discounts on the purchase of additional balls, bags, shoes, and accessories.
The ECC bowling program, one of the most decorated in NJCAA history, continued its tradition of excellence last season. Both the men’s and women’s teams swept the Region III Championships at Airport Lanes, capturing team titles while also earning multiple individual honors. Sophomore Lane Marlatt was crowned the men’s singles and All-Events champion, with teammates Zachary Spengler and Zack Budzynski also earning All-Region recognition. On the women’s side, Haley Benkelman claimed the singles crown, while Lydia Murphy and Maura Noonan won the doubles title.
At the NJCAA National Championships, the Kats remained competitive on the national stage as the men’s team finished fourth overall and the women’s team secured a sixth-place finish. Jacob Rascumberger led Erie with an eighth-place All-Events finish to earn All-American honors, while Spengler and Marc D’Damico claimed third place in doubles. Murphy and Noonan also medaled on the women’s side, taking third in doubles.
Head Coach Dave Zajac praised the continued partnership with Brunswick:
“Our first two years of sponsorship by the Brands of Brunswick were extremely beneficial to both the men's and women's programs. Coaches and players alike got to see the results play out during every single event throughout the season. Individual awards were achieved and team championships were won, using a wide range of the equipment from the Brands of Brunswick. We are not only very appreciative of the sponsorship extension, but we are eager to see its positive impacts for our players during the 2025-2026 season. Thank you to Mr. Mullen and former Coach Duke for allowing this opportunity to be available to the program. And we could never thank the Brands of Brunswick enough for their continued support!”
With Brunswick’s renewed support, SUNY Erie bowling looks to build on its regional dominance and pursue more national success during the 2025–26 season.
