The Erie Community College won both games of their double header with Finger Lakes Community College on a sunny Monday at North Campus.
Game one saw the Kats score first and not look back as they cruised to a 4-1 victory. Erie fired up the offense in the first inning, when Tyler Kerl doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. They pulled away for good with two runs in the fourth inning when Nolan Evans singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs. Dylan Moorhouse was on the mound. The hurler surrendered one run on two hits over seven innings, striking out nine.
The second game featured a bit more dramatics as a walk-off home run propelled Erie to a 5-3 victory. The game was tied at three with Erie batting in the bottom of the seventh when Carter Whitehead homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.
Connor Desiderio led things off on the hill for Erie. The ace went seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits, striking out four and walking one.
