Erie delivered a strong showing in Saturday's doubleheader against Jamestown, using timely hitting and solid pitching to secure a sweep, highlighted by a dramatic walk-off win.
In game one, Erie battled back and forth in a high-scoring affair before pulling out an 8-7 victory in extra innings. After falling behind early, the Kats surged in the third inning, plating five runs to take control. Jim Buettner delivered the big hit in the frame with a three-run double.
Jamestown answered with a five-run sixth to reclaim the lead, but Erie responded again late. Elijah Williams came through in the seventh with an RBI single to tie the game at seven, setting the stage for the heroics. In the bottom of the eighth, Tyler Pagano drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home the winning run and seal the comeback victory.

On the mound, Joe Downey started and kept Erie in the game before Jaden Korpan took over and shut the door. Korpan tossed four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out three to earn the win.
