Erie continued its strong stretch with a doubleheader sweep of Jamestown on Thursday, powered by explosive offensive performances and aggressive play on the bases.
In game one, the Kats rolled to a 15-3 victory behind a huge day from Elijah Williams. Williams drove in five runs on three hits, setting the tone early and delivering key blows throughout the game, including a two-run single in the second and a two-run double in the seventh.
Erie jumped out in front in the second inning and never looked back, adding on in the third before breaking the game wide open with a seven-run seventh inning. The Kats racked up 13 hits in the opener, with Zach Bedard joining Williams with three hits, while Jim Buettner and Nolan Nobile each added multiple hits. Erie also created pressure on the bases, stealing four bags, and played solid defensively with two double plays.
