Football Improves to 3-0 with Win at Buffalo State
The Erie Community College football team continued its hot start to the season with a convincing 36–7 win over Buffalo State on Saturday, improving the Kats' record to 3–0.
Quarterback Noah Willoughby once again led the offense, completing 18 of 27 passes for 240 yards and two touchdowns. On the ground, Darius Fleming and Anthony Leach each scored rushing touchdowns, giving Erie a balanced attack that kept the Bengals on their heels all afternoon.
Defensively, the Kats were dominant, piling up eight sacks in the win. Amir Williams played a huge role, being involved in four of those sacks as Erie's defense kept consistent pressure on the Buffalo State backfield.
Currently ranked 5th in the NJCAA Division III poll, Erie looks to carry its momentum into next week's matchup against Brockport.
