Kats Stumble in First Loss of Season at Hudson Valley

The Erie Community College football team suffered its first defeat of the season on Saturday, falling 42–14 on the road at Hudson Valley Community College.
Erie actually held a 14–12 lead at halftime, highlighted by a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown from Reginald Hakes III. But the second half belonged to the Vikings, as Hudson Valley scored 30 unanswered points to pull away.
Offensively, the Kats struggled to find rhythm, finishing with just 192 total yards. All three quarterbacks combined for 149 passing yards, while the ground game managed only 43 rushing yards.
The Kats stay on the road next week, traveling to Hocking College on Saturday, October 4 for a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
