Bowling Finishes Third at NJCAA Championships
Lansing, MI- The Erie Community College men's bowling team traveled to Lansing, Michigan to compete in the NJCAA Bowling Championships. The men finished third overall with a total pinfall of 13,665.
"From October till the last ball was thrown today in competition, each and every one of our players has improved immensely. They proved that to us over the last two days of National Championship competition in Lansing," said coach Dave Zajac.
"Was a 3rd place finish in the NJCAA National Championship what we all wanted? Not exactly," continued Zajac. "However, these guys got to be in the thick of actually being in contention to win a National Championship and I know they are already thinking about 2023 when we host in Buffalo. Next year with our returning players and with the addition of our incoming recruits we hope to put ourselves back in contention to track down the men's programs 19th NJCAA National Championship."
Sophomore Cameron Stark earned All-American honors after finishing fifth in the All-Event standings.
In doubles, the team of Eric Engler and James Swannie placed third and while Stark and Parker Esch placed fourth.
