November 24, 2024
The Erie Community College Men's Bowling team finished the fall portion of their season competing in the Tiger Cup and Brick City Classic.
Erie would finish second in the Tiger Cup and third in the Brick City match.
Kats Head Coach David Zajac said of the weekend, "While the guys fell a few pins short of completing the three peat, having won the Tiger Cup the last two years, this weekends events still provided us with positive takeaways. All eleven guys that traveled got the chance to contribute throughout the weekend. This will pay dividends for them when our schedule picks back up in January and into our championship events."
Top finishers for Erie were freshman Charles Buttery who ended fourth in the Tiger Cup and second in the Brick City and freshman Zachary Spengler bowled to a fifth place finish in the Tiger Cup.
The Kats will pick up the season again on Saturday January 11th when they head to Greensburg, PA to compete in the Greater Pittsburgh Collegiate Classic.
