The Erie Community College hockey team has struggled to find stability in their game this season. That has continued coming out of the winter break as the Kats dropped their second game in a row since play resumed on the season. Erie lost to Niagara University D2 11-4 on Saturday night at Dwyer Arena.
With an overall record of 5-9, Erie has been unable to mount any real consistent play to put together a full 60 minute game many nights. Despite averaging over 4 goals per game, the team also averages over 18 minutes of penalties per game which is contributing to their lack of ability to keep a real flowing going in games.
With five of their last six remaining games at home, the team continues to work on a more complete and disciplined game plan.
The Kats next game is Sunday, January 22nd at 12:00 at Cheektowaga Town Ice Rink.
