Kats Close Strong Season in UNYCHL Quarterfinals
The Erie Community College Kats saw their season come to an end Friday night with a 12–1 loss to Cortland in the UNYCHL Quarterfinals.
Adam Catlin scored the lone goal for Erie in the contest.
The Kats battled through a challenging final stretch, as injuries and mid-year graduations shortened the bench heading into postseason play. Despite those obstacles, Erie continued to compete and earned its place in the quarterfinal round.
Erie closes the 2025–26 campaign with an impressive 14-6-1 overall record, a testament to the team's consistency and resilience throughout the year.
Head Coach Bill Orr said he was proud of his players for pushing through the past few weeks and giving their all under difficult circumstances. He added that he looks forward to building around the returning players as the program turns its focus toward next season.
While the playoff run was cut short, the foundation remains strong for the Kats. With key returners set to come back and valuable experience gained throughout the season, Erie will look to carry this year's momentum into an even stronger campaign next winter.
