The Erie Community College men's soccer team opened its 2025 season on Saturday with a hard-fought 2–1 loss to SUNY Broome. Despite creating several scoring opportunities, the Kats were unable to overcome the Hornets' late push. Erie's lone goal came in the second half, keeping the match close until the final whistle.
Goalkeeper Mac Ward had a strong debut, recording seven saves to keep the Kats within striking distance. Erie's lone goal came in the first half, sparking momentum, but the Hornets two goal second half secured the win.
