It was a challenging weekend for the Erie Community College men's and women's soccer programs, as both teams faced tough Region III competition.
The men's team dropped back-to-back matches, falling 6–0 to SUNY Adirondack on Saturday before suffering an 8–0 setback to Hudson Valley on Sunday. Despite the results, the Kats continued to battle and gained valuable experience against two of the region's stronger sides.
The women's team, coming off their first win of the season, fell 2–0 to Hudson Valley on Sunday. Erie showed moments of promise but couldn't find the back of the net against a strong Viking defense.
"Our teams showed fight and determination, but this weekend was about learning and growing," said the coaching staff. "We'll regroup, adjust, and get ready for the next challenge."
The Kats return to action when both teams host Onondaga Community College on Saturday, September 20th at the Kevin T Keane Sports Complex.
