Kats Split Two with Finger Lakes Community College
Erie Community College softball played host to Finger Lakes Community for a double header on Tuesday, splitting the games.
The Lakers took the opening game 10-8. Erie would have the lead at the end of the first inning but could not hold on as Finger Lakes tied it up in the second and never relinquished its lead. Sophomore Mia Trietley led the offense for the Kats going 2-4 at the plate with four RBI and a run scored. Freshman Jenna Bailey scored three runs while going 1-2 with two walks.
Freshman Alyssa Quagliana was on the mound for Erie, allowing 10 runs on 11 hits through seven innings.
Erie came back in game two, winning 9-8. The Kats had 14 hits in the game including a two run shot from freshman Savannah Drozda who had two homeruns, a single and a double. Alyssa Quagliana, Jenna Bailey, Alycia Wojciechowski and Tabitha Allen all had multiple hits.
Wojciechowski started the game for Erie allowing 6 runs on 7 hits through 4.1 innings pitched.
Erie will be back in action on Saturday April 17th at 1:00 pm when they travel to Genesee Community College.
