Softball Comes Back to Win Game Two in Split with Monroe CC.
The Kats split a series with Monroe Community College on Tuesday dropping the first game 11-8 but picked up a 16-10 win in game two.
Erie took the lead in the bottom of the first inning scoring on an error by Monroe and an RBI single by Madeline Tempski. Monroe would come right back in the second to take the lead and never look back. Savannah Drozda led the Kats offense with three RBI in the game.
Alyssa Quagliana started on the mound Erie allowing 10 runs on 12 hits through 6.2 inning.
Erie would come back in game two winning 16-10 behind a solid performance both on the mound and behind the plate from Quagliana. She went 4-4 at the plate while hitting for the cycle and pitching a complete game. Savannah Drozda and Mia Trietley each contributed two home runs in the game. Drozda was three for four at the plate with seven RBI and three runs scored.
The Kats will travel to Monroe on Thursday for two games at 2:00 and 4:00 pm.
