Softball Gets 2022 Season Underway
Erie women's softball is in Florida to begin the 2022 season. The first weekend of play saw the Kats drop 4 games while winning one.
On Friday the team lost to Oakland Community College 11-6, Muskegon Community College 10-0 and Heartland Community College 6-2.
On Saturday Erie picked up a victory over West Virgina Weslyan JV 12-6 and then dropped the second game to Mott Community College 9-0.
Leading the way at the plate for Erie was Mia Trietley who batted .600 over the weekend with 9 hits on 15 at bats and three RBI.
Amelia Potter was on the mound for the lone Kats victory allowing six runs on six hits over five innings.
Erie will continue their play in Florida with six games this week.
