Genesee Community College
It took all seven innings but the Kats softball team came out victorious with a 12-11 win over Genesee Community College at North Campus on Tuesday.
All nine Erie players who came to the plate recorded at least one hit as the team put up 19 all together. Amelia Potter, Julia Kilonsky, Marissa Stockmeyer and Alyssa Christensen had three each while Alyssa Quagliana and Mia Trietley had two each. Alyssa Kilonsky, Emily Belile and Lucy Rang rounded out the hits with one each. Trietley led the team in RBIs with four.
The pitching duties were split between Potter and Stockmeyer.
Game two of the scheduled double header was postponed due to rain.
Erie is now 17-12 overall for the season and will host Herkimer College on Saturday for a pair of games. First pitch is at 1:00 pm.
