The Erie Community College softball team got themselves back into the win column by winning both games of their double header with Jamestown Community College on Tuesdsay.
In game one, trailing 2-0 heading to the top of the seventh, the Kats would get the lead off runners on when Yeldali Tejada led off with a single to left. Samantha Wing followed with a double in the right center gap setting the stage for Sam Heppel who hit a three run bomb to straight away center giving the Kats a 3-2 lead. Heppel was also the defensive star recording 17 K's in game one. Heppel and Alyssa Kilonski each had two hits in the game for the Kats.

Kate Poitras and Heppel also had two hits apiece for the Kats. Wing, Emily Belile and Emily Krause also pitched in with hits. After the Jayhawks tied the game in the sixth the Kats came right back plating two more in the bottom of the inning when Wing, Heppel and Julia Kilonski all reached to start the inning. Julia Kilonski also thwarted a Jayhawk first inning rally when she picked off a runner at third. Sam Heppel again was the workhorse in the circle with 13K's giving her 30 on the day.
Up next for the Kats is a match-up cross town rival NCCC in a solo contest at North Campus on Thursday at 3pm.
