In game one, Amelia Potter led the way with a standout performance, driving in four runs on three hits to power Erie to the win. Potter came through in key moments, including a three-run double in the fourth inning that helped create separation.
Erie responded after falling behind early, taking control in the third inning when Potter drove in a run and Olivia Orcholski added another. The Kats finished with 11 hits, with Haley Lerner and Ashlyn Pignone each recording multiple hits. Erie also showed patience at the plate, drawing seven walks.
In the circle, Grace Szpylman was dominant, striking out 11 over a complete game while working through traffic to limit the damage and secure the win.
Game two saw Erie overcome an early deficit in dramatic fashion. After trailing by as many as five runs, the Kats erupted for 10 runs in the third inning to take control of the game. The rally featured contributions throughout the lineup, including a two-run double from Pignone, a two-run single from Potter, and a two-run double from Mikayla Gallivan.
Erie continued to apply pressure offensively, finishing with 11 hits and drawing 10 walks. Pignone, Potter, and Carly Fraser each drove in three runs, while Lerner, Pignone, and Potter all recorded multi-hit games.
Potter earned the win in the circle in game two, while Szpylman added relief innings after her strong outing in the opener.
