Kats Return to Action with a Win.

Buffalo, NY- The Erie Community College women's basketball team defeated Westmoreland County Community College 45-38 on Saturday afternoon at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.

Back in action for their first game since mid-December, the Kats started a little slow in the first quater but picked up their play as the game went on.  Leading the way for Erie was sophomore Jameelah Gaines with 17 points and seven rebounds. Caroline Zanghi contributed 11 points and eight rebounds while Elisha Bowery had ten rebounds.

Erie will return to the court to try and extend their win streak to three games when they host Bryant and Stratton Rochester on Wednesday, January 15th at 4:00 pm.
