Bowling Takes Region III Championships!
The Erie men's and women's bowling teams traveled to Rome, NY for the Region III Championships and both teams came back champions.
In addition to taking the overall team titles, the mens doubles team of Robert Richmond and Declan Stiles and the womens' doubles team of Alexis Klenke and Katelyn Kittleson both took first place as well.
Kittleson was also the All Events Champion for the ladies as well as taking second place in singles. Four Kats made the women's All Region Team: Kittleson, Klenke, Abby Shroeder and Nadine Carr.
The men also had the second place doubles team in Anthony Shaver and Cameron Stark. Stark was also named the All Events Champion. Named to the men's All Region team were Richmond, Stark and Stiles.
"The men were determined to be back to back Region III Champions, they achieved that. The ladies were looking for their 3rd straight tournament win, they successfully achieved that. Now, we have just about 2 weeks to prepare the teams for competition in the National Junior College Athletic Association National Championships," said Coach David Zajac
Now the teams have their sights set on the NJCAA National Championships being held March 2-4 in Buffalo at Airport Lanes.
