The SUNY Erie Community College women's lacrosse team was named an NJCAA Academic Team of the Year for having the highest team grade point average in the country for their sport for the 2018-19 season. Additionally, Erie's women's softball (3.30 GPA), women's swimming and diving (3.14 GPA) and women's soccer (3.08 GPA) teams also were considered for the Academic Team of the Year honor in their sport.
The women's lacrosse team had a 3.40 team cumulative grade point average. Six members of the team were named as NJCAA Academic All-Americans for having a grade point average above a 3.60. Those student-athletes are Abbigal Ettinger (also swimming and diving), Annabelle MacIntosh (also soccer), Britini Bailey (also soccer), Ciera Lundy (also soccer), Danielle Noto and McKiley Nappo.
The college had 29 student-athletes named NJCAA Academic All-American in 2018-19. The additional NJCAA All-Americans are: Alexandra Clifford (swimming and diving), Alyssa Siracuse (soccer), Andrew Burckhalter (bowling), Annaliese Ziemann (soccer), Anthony Smith (soccer), Bayley Bannister (softball), Brandon Yax (football), Donald Christopher (football), George Becraft (football), James Doran (soccer), Jena Schelble (soccer), Jennifer Coleman (softball), Jeremy Torres (baseball), Justin Wisniewski (baseball), Kaiden Davis (football), Kaneil Clarke (softball), Kasey Walker-Gregg (basketball), Mason Hoose (football), Morgan Ryerse (softball), Niah Price (basketball), Shelby Simmeth (softball and volleyball) and Tavien Kemp (basketball).
