Women's Soccer Dominates Jefferson CC
The Kats offense was in full force
The Kats were in full form on Saturday when they beat Jefferson Community College at South Campus, 10-0. The Kats offense flourished and show the scoring power the Kats have this season.
The Kats got off to a hot start when when Abbey Lombard netted her first of four goals on the day in the sixth minute of the game. The goal came after a corner kick from Sam Carey and a touch pass by Annaliese Ziemann set up Lombard for an easy goal.
The Kats would score three more goals in the half to take a four goal lead in to the break. Goals in the first half came from Lombard (two in the first half), Rachel Fiore (her first of two) and Sam Carey.
The second half was no different as the Kats came out strong, not resting on a four goal lead. Abbey Lombard would add another goal just 21 seconds into the second half. Lombard would add another just five minutes later to finish out her day. The Kats offense would continue as they added four goals more to give them six in the second half and 10 in the game. Goals came from Jamilah McBryde (2), Rachel Fiore and Maya O'Rourke.
Coach Boughton was pleased with the effort of his team, especially in the second half. "We didn't just sit back with their lead, we continued to attack" said Boughton.
The Kats next game is Wednesday when they take on Finger Lakes Community College at ECC South Campus at 3PM.
