Erie Women’s Soccer Opens Season with 1–1 Draw Against SUNY Broome

The Erie Community College women's soccer team kicked off its 2025 campaign with a spirited 1–1 tie against SUNY Broome.

Freshman forward Selena Andallah made an immediate impact in her Kats debut, scoring Erie's lone goal to put the Kats ahead. The Hornets responded in the 83rd minute, and despite strong play on both sides, the match ended even.

Head Coach Mandy Dixon was encouraged by her squad's first outing. "Our first game together as a brand new team showed a lot of promise. The girls came together and fought hard the whole 90 minutes. It was an exciting game and a great start to the season. We will continue to grow and build chemistry as a team as the season progresses," Dixon said.

The Kats will look to build on their strong start when they return to action [insert date/opponent] in Region III play.
