The SUNY Erie Community College women's soccer team earned its first victory of the 2025 season with a 4–2 comeback win over Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday.
The Kats got on the board first with an opening goal from Mwashite Wilondja, but Finger Lakes responded with two goals to take a 2–1 halftime lead. Erie regrouped after the break and stormed back, scoring three unanswered goals to seal the win.
Freshman Molly Lyons had a standout performance with a goal and an assist. Solei Lingle-Marshall and Selena Abdallah each added second-half goals to complete the comeback, giving Erie its first win of the year.
Head Coach Mandy Dixon praised her team's resilience: "The way we responded in the second half says a lot about this group. They stayed composed, played with energy, and finished their chances. This was a huge confidence boost for us as we move forward this season."
With the victory, Erie improves to 1–2–1 and will return to action on September 14 at 12:00 pm when they host Hudson Valley Community College.
