The Erie Community College volleyball team opened the 2023 season at the Burt Flickinger Center with a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon. In the first match, Erie and Butler took five sets to decide a winner with Butler pulling it out three games to two (25-19, 28-26, 24-26, 21-25 and 12-15.).
Game two saw the Kats rebound against Lakeland Community College, defeating the Lakers in three sets (25-21, 25-18 and 25-15).
"This was a great start to the season. Charlotte and Molly anchored our offense with amazing play at the outside hitter position. We loved the way Emily ran our offense with great decision making," said Coach Craig Starzynski. "Lily stepped up big time to provide us with clutch kills and aces."
