Erie Football Shuts Out Thaddeus Stevens, 31–0.
The Erie Community College football team improved to 2–0 with a commanding 31–0 shutout victory over Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology on Saturday afternoon.
Quarterback Noah Willoughby led the way with a career performance, completing 17 of 25 passes for 315 yards and three touchdowns. His top target was Jarell Green, who caught three passes for 118 yards and a touchdown, stretching the field with explosive plays.
The Kats' defense matched the offense's firepower, turning in a dominant shutout effort. Samuel Ikegwuonu was a force up front, registering eight tackles and two sacks, spearheading a pass rush that gave the Bulldogs fits all game. The defense also forced turnovers and held Thaddeus Stevens without points to secure Erie's first shutout of the season.
Head Coach Mike Kemp praised his team's all-around performance. "We played fast, physical football today and executed in all three phases. Anytime you can come away with a shutout, it's a statement win," he said.
With the victory, Erie advances to 2–0 and will return to action on the road on Sunday, September 14th when they play Buffalo State at 3:30 pm.
