he Erie Community College men's basketball team earned another weekend split, hosting back-to-back games at the Burt Flickinger Athletic Center.
On Friday night, the Kats battled in a tightly contested matchup but ultimately fell to Herkimer College, 89–86. Jabar Wheatley led the way with a strong performance, scoring 24 points and collecting 7 rebounds. Taesyn Slating and Michael Pierreloius each added 15 points and 6 rebounds, while Terrance Walker Jr. delivered an all-around effort with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists.
Erie bounced back on Saturday with an impressive 95–70 victory over Cayuga Community College. Taesyn Slating erupted from beyond the arc, hitting nine three-pointers on his way to 31 points, along with 4 rebounds and 2 assists. JohnPaul Agu added 13 points and 6 rebounds, and Michael Pierreloius contributed 11 points to round out a balanced offensive showing.
The Kats return to action later this week looking to build momentum off Saturday's win. The Kats will play their final game before Thanskgiving break on Tuesday night at the Flickinger Center when Bryant Stratton College of Ohio comes to town for a 6pm matchup.
